This individual project focused on designing an infographic and job aid to guide instructional designers in integrating AI into instructional materials. Over four weeks, the process involved research, design, and refinement to create visually engaging and practical resources using Adobe Illustrator.
Research & Conceptualization
The first step was understanding how AI enhances instructional design. Since specific platforms and software could not be mentioned, the focus was on core AI-driven processes such as:
• Personalized learning through AI-generated content and adaptive feedback.
• Automation in assessments and curriculum development.
• Data-driven insights to improve learner engagement and content effectiveness.
• Ethical considerations, ensuring transparency and fairness in AI use.
For the job aid, I selected a single AI tool (excluding ChatGPT) that instructional designers can use. The research phase involved analyzing its key features, benefits, and practical applications in instructional design.
Development in Adobe Illustrator
The deliverables were designed to be clear, quick-reference visual guide for instructional designers. Using Adobe Illustrator, I structured them around:
• A clean, modern layout with a balanced use of typography and whitespace.
• Icons and vector illustrations to visually represent AI applications.
• Color coding and hierarchy to guide the reader’s attention.
• Concise, scannable content to ensure easy comprehension.
